I played a bit of little league, but to be honest I was one of those geeky kids who was so scared of making mistakes and getting yelled at that I ended up making tons of mistakes and getting yelled at...a lot. I still enjoyed the game and played "pick-up" baseball with kids in my neighborhood through high school. Through college I coached Little League and played in recreational leagues, but nothing that you'd call "organized." BQ: I didn't play again in an "organized" league until I was 40. It's a 16 team league of guys mostly in their 20s and 30s. We got doctors & lawyers mixed in with former college and minor league players. I'm the oldest guy on my team, but I seem to be the only guy who knows how to shorten up his swing to hit to the right side with a man on 2B, or go for a deep fly with a man on 3B. Considering that most guys on my first-place Dodger team can't seem to do that who knows....maybe I could've made it to the Show.?
